ABOUT R. STAR
Language is the basic tool of communication in the sense of enabling a student to understand and be understood, and to establish their own identity. Language is also the avenue by which one gains access to literature and thereby to the cultural treasury of civilization. Mrs Aisha Lootah, principal of Al Ebda Model School, realizing the importance of English language as a major means of communication, managed to translate words into actions when she signaled the organizing of a yearly competition for the best readers in English language. The competition has involved most of Dubai Model School students. The first five winners are usually awarded a 2-week educational holiday in the UK.
